Earn Money With Snapdeal Affiliate Program in India
Now Snapdeal has started its own in-house affiliate program in the last week of November just like Flipkart and Amazon. Before this, their affiliate program was handled by third party sites like OMG and Tyroo.Well it may be the effect of Flipkart and Amazon because both have their in-house affiliate program which are liked by bloggers and publishers.
Secondly,Tyroo and OMG(Online Media Group) are so difficult to join and get approved.Even if you get approved, their tracking URL are so difficult to make. For example, when I joined OMG program,it was so hard to redirect to a particular product in Snapdeal because firstly I have to encode the URL and then putting it after the default Snapdeal URL.Besides this,OMG's minimum payout is Rs 2000 which is so difficult to accomplish by a small blogger like me.Flipkart's minimum is only Rs 250 if you choose Gift Cards as the payment.Thirdly,OMG's tracking URLs seem to take more time in loading than usual. So I ditched their program
With this step,Snapdeal has opened its door to bloggers like me who don't want to waste their time in making tracking URLs.OK now let's shift to Snapdeal's own affiliate program :
How to Join :
Go to affiliate.snapdeal.com and click on Affiliate Sign Up.
What Details They Ask For :
They don't ask about the website. They only ask about name, address, bank details and pan card details for Wire Tranfer to bank.No approval required.
After Joining and Login :
There are 4 links in left side : Dashboard,Offers,Reports and Tools.Click on Offers and then on Snapdeal Campaign. The box on the top provides default tracking link which lands on Snapdeal.com .For example, mine is http://jasper.go2cloud.org/SHcu . If you want to redirect to a particular product, you can click on "Add Website" listed under Customize Your Tracking Link. For example,I changed link to Snapdeal GOSF page to http://jasper.go2cloud.org/SHcw .
Tracking Comparison :
Snapdeal's tracking URL is also cumbersome as you have to convert it into http://jasper.go2cloud.org/SHcw when you have to link to a particular product page. While in Flipkart and Amazon.you just have to add some code at the end.For example,in Flipkart, you have to add ?affid=your-affiliate-id and in Amazon, you have to add ?tag=your-affiliate-tag.Here are the test links for Flipkart.com = flipkart.com?affid=tarun41sin and for Amazon.com = amazon.in?tag=gurnandevcoed-21 .
More Options :
There is a Generate TinyURL check button but that only changes some alphabets in tracking URL so no need to use it.
Affiliate Commision :
Snapdeal is offering a 10% commision on all products upto Rs 400.That means you will get Rs 400 for Rs 4000 mobile as well for a Rs 10000 mobile. This part seems bad to me.Even if Amazon and Flipkart offer 5% and 4% respectively on electronics, they have no maximum cap on earnings. However both give a 10% commision on books and other products with no maximum cap.
Minimum Payout :
Currently there is no minimum payout listed on their site so that means that you will get your payment every month. It is also stated on their site that commission for products will be approved after 15 days opposed to 30 days of Flipkart and Amazon. BTW it will be good if Snapdeal starts vouchers as one of mode of payment for shoppers like me who are in need of shopping vouchers everytime ;)
Verdict :
As you all know, something is better than nothing so get the benefit of this affiliate program. This program is best for all the Indian publishers and bloggers who review products and recommend them.Currently Snapdeal is the second best e-commerce company in India after Flipkart in Alexa traffic rank.So now all the 3 best e-commerce sites- Flipkart , Snapdeal and Amazon have their own affiliate programs.Hope you have liked the post.If yes, please share it with your friends on your social networks. If you want to ask me something or share your views and feedback, you are welcome to comment. Hey! Nice to know about snapdeal's affiliate program!
ReplyDeleteSad they put a cap of 400!
Among OMG,Tyroo, flipakrt, amazon and snapdeal affiliate program , who would you rate the best tarun?
Sorry for late reply.
DeleteFlipkart is best since people buy from it the most.
Second is Amazon since it gives better commission than Flipkart but it is not as popular as Flipkart at the moment.
Got it,thnks
Deletecan anyone help here on how to insert links from omg to a product link in blogger so that whenever anyone buys through that link u will earn commission
ReplyDeleteYou have to apply for each shopping website separately in OMG and then they will go through your site. Most of the websites approve after seeing your website/blog.After that, you will get the standard link for each applied site. You can read their FAQ for whole procedure.
DeleteI want to know about swift code what i insert in that & what is the use of that. Can u pls Help.
ReplyDeleteSwift code is the US name of IFSC code in India.IFSC code is unique for each bank and can be found on Internet or in your bank passbook or cheque book.Hope you found it useful.
DeleteSnapdeal Affiliate Program is fake. This Guys are non trust-able after working for them 3-4 Months they will stop your CONVERSIONS. they are cheating with affiliates and not paying the earning which you earn with your Hard work. I have have sold there products more than 2 Lakhs and then they stop my CONVERSIONS. They cheated Never work Snapdeal.
ReplyDeleteThey will never pay you. My account was approved. Also when you will follow up them regarding the same they will never reply you. As they know they need to pay you. I sent them 10+ Email on affiliate@snapdeal.com and help@snapdeal.com but they never replied.
My affiliate id is 3880
Better to work with Amazon and Flipkart
When you wrote this,I thought it was only one instance with one affiliate but now I think they are not sending money to any of their affiliates.Even I have not got paid since April. All I can say after you is that it's better to work with Amazon Affiliate and Flipkart Affiliate.
Deleteany update on your status .. same is the case with me :(
DeleteI must tell you, snapdeal affiliation program is completely fraud. They do not have any concrete reason to deny claims. I furnished all details still they are not able to provide commission. Total fraud. Opt for others. Never had a good experience with snapdeal.
